help > juggermods Juggernaught Components (Fighter subclass) ------------------------------------------------------------------------ GENERAL: 'display' will list your current upgrades, and cost to upgrade them further as well as your total available slots to upgrade. You get 3 slots per level and automatically start with 3 upgrades, so at level 1 you have NO FREE slots. Use 'upgrade <component name>' will upgrade that component. There is a level requirement for some components so don't be shocked when you cant get level 5 weaponry at level 4. When you die, there is a chance a component will break, that sucks, oh well. Some upgrades require prerequisites for their purchase and functioning. For example, very few upgrades can be of a higher value than the power plant. Additional prerequisites: Armor Plating 5 and 6 requires Armor Coatings 2. Structural Integrity 5 and 6 requires Armor Coatings 2. Assault System 4 requires Visualization 2. Assault System 5 requires Visualization 3. Assault System 6 requires Visualization 4. Power Plant 5 requires Resource Processing 2 and Automated Repair 2. Armor Plating: Just what it says, defensive armour plating. Structural Integrity: Provides additional protection to the pilot and internal components. Drive Relay: This is an important trans-axle linking the power plant to your extensors. The better the relay system the more quickly you can attack. Assault System: This is the complex system of cables and pulleys powered by the drive relay system. The more advanced this system the more accurate and powerful the extensor action. Drive System: This is the treads of the Juggernaught. Most importantly, this is where you get the command `overdrive'. When the Juggernaught is damaged it moves slowly, however, with overdrive, you can continue to move at normal speed for a sp cost for a certain number of movements. After enough damage, however, even overdrive will not enable the Juggernaught to move any faster. The higher the drive upgrade the more damage you can sustain before moving slow, and the more damage you can take and still operate overdrive. Automated Repair: This upgrade causes the juggernaught to continually repair its damage (hit points) and more quickly replenish its energy reserves (spell points). Additionally, this determines how much healing from a standard heal item/spell you receive. The higher the value the more items heal. Visualization System: This system allows the pilot to better see his surroundings. It gives a bonus to night vision and awareness. Level 2: You can use the command 'scan <target>' Level 3: With drive system of 3 you can 'trace <target>' Level 4: You can use the command 'scan <area>' Level 5: You can also see enemy vulnerabilities (see: weapon systems) when scanning. Armor Coatings: Each level of coating adds to the juggernaught's resistance to certain types of elemental damage; in addition, armor coatings make the juggernaught generally tougher. The resistance types are as follows: 1: Cold. 2: Shock. 3: Fire. 4: Acid. 5: Poison. 6: Psychic Cargo Loaders: Each cargo loader vastly increases the normally rather poor cargo capacity of the juggernaught; this is 10 with no upgrades, and each upgrade doubles carrying capacity. Resource Processing: This set of upgrades enables the 'do process' command. In addition, resource processing allows consuming corpses for increased healing. Devastators: This enables the "do devastate" command. Mauler: This enables the "do maul" command. Power Plant: The power plant provides power for the juggernaught's system, causing you to regenerate spell points at an accelerated rate. In addition, the power plant, if not empty of power, acts as a self destruct mechanism; on death, the juggernaught explodes, hopefully taking any nearby victims with it. Weapon System: This is the set of extensors currently available to the juggernaught; your upgrade level determines both weapon class and what damage types are available. The available weapon system types are: Level 1: Advanced Rotating Extensors (Cleave) Level 2: Steam-Powered Jackhammer (Crush) Level 3: Copper Plated Extensors (Shock) Level 4: Nitrogen Cooled - Pneumatic Extensors (Cold) Level 5: Naptha Thrower (Fire) Level 6: Prismatic Assault Extensors (Light) Level 7: Hypersonic Vibratory Drill (Sound) You may switch between weapon systems with the command 'rotate weaponry' Missile Seeking System: This is the Juggernaught's missile launcher system. The higher the level of this system, the more advanced and powerful your missiles become. It allows the use of various types of missiles, which are available once the system has been upgraded to the required level. The missile system has multiple levels, each unlocking more powerful missiles with specific damage types. Level 1: Flame-tipped Bolts - Basic, low-damage projectiles that deliver a simple fiery strike. Level 2: Frostbane Arrows - More potent missiles imbued with arcane fire, delivering greater destructive power. Level 3: Acid-etched Warheads - Guided missiles, empowered by thunderous magic, that track their targets more effectively. Level 4: Thunderstrike Orbs - High-damage missiles that unleash a fiery explosion, with a wider blast radius, akin to a Thor's wrath. Level 5: Soulrender Bolts - The ultimate missile, unleashing a catastrophic force with devastating damage. Missiles are a limited resource and are stored in the Juggernaught’s missile stock, which is refilled using "do missiles refill". The number of missiles you can carry is determined by the missile system's level. As you upgrade the system, your missile stock increases. To fire a missile, use the "do missiles <target>". You must have at least one missile in stock to use this skill. You can also automatically fire missiles in combat when the system reaches its maximum level (Level 5). The missile system requires Fuel to launch, and each missile type has its own cost. Missiles can be fired in combat and can deal massive damage to your enemies, with varying effects depending on the missile type (e.g. Fire, Cold, Acid, Psychic, etc.). Be sure to manage your missile stock and refuel as needed. Prerequisites: You must have at least Level 2 in the Weapon System to use missiles. Missiles are refilled using the refill command, but refilling requires SP. To upgrade your missile system, use the upgrade missile seeking system command. Each upgrade increases the missile capacity and unlocks more advanced missile types. Be sure to check the level requirements before attempting an upgrade. To check your missile stock, use the display command or look at your HP bar. You can also use refill missiles to top up your missile stock at the cost of SP. Fuel: Fuel is a crucial resource for powering key systems within the Juggernaught. Fuel is consumed when performing specific actions, like missile launching, processing resources, or refilling missiles. The fuel system ties into various upgrades and actions, making its management essential for effective operations. Fuel Acquisition: You can gather fuel by using the process skill or processing corpses. Each time you process an item or a corpse, you are awarded fuel. The more advanced your Resource Processing upgrade, the more fuel you can collect from each item or corpse. Fuel Consumption: The Juggernaught consumes fuel during specific actions: Missile Launching: Each missile you fire consumes fuel. The more powerful the missile type, the greater the fuel consumption. Refilling Missiles: Refilling your missile stock also consumes fuel, so you need to ensure you have enough fuel before attempting a refill. Max Fuel Capacity: Your maximum fuel capacity is directly tied to your Resource Processing upgrade. As you upgrade Resource Processing, your Juggernaught can store more fuel, allowing you to perform more actions without running out. Fuel Management: Fuel does not regenerate automatically. You must actively gather fuel by using the process skill or processing (eating) corpses. Running out of fuel will restrict your ability to fire missiles, process items, or perform critical operations tied to your fuel consumption. Fuel is also essential for operating specific systems: the more advanced your Power Plant and Resource Processing, the better you'll be able to manage and acquire fuel. Processing Fuel: To obtain fuel, use the process skill to process items or (eat) corpses, and your Juggernaught will gain fuel. The amount of fuel gained depends on your Resource Processing level and the type of items you are processing. How to raise Fuel: Fuel is tied to your processing upgrade, higher the process, higher the Fuel reserves base fuel is 100 + processing upgrade (* a number). Example: Level 1 Process: Process a corpse, gain a small amount of fuel. Level 3 Process: Process a larger item, gain more fuel per item. Fuel is consumed for: Processing Materials (e.g., using "do process") Missile Firing (varies by missile type) Refilling Missiles (fuel is required to top up missile stock) Be sure to manage your fuel carefully and keep an eye on your fuel reserves to ensure you have enough to perform key actions like firing missiles and processing materials. Missile stocks and fuel are finite resources, so use them wisely! ------------------------------------------------------------------------ |
