    TWAR Tournament #2
    Note 4 of 58 · by Ghyath · 28-Apr-2008 5:56am
OK guys. First of all, I would like to thank anyone who expressed interest in this attempt of having TWAR tournament. Since I didnt receive like any feedback to my previous post, I decided to adjust previously mentioned rules. 1) You have to win 2 out of 3 duels to advance to the next round. This is because you can never be sure about your link and I dont find it fair that you might be eliminated because of it. 2) I am still afraid of other people interfering. There is currently no way how to make this speacial TWAR only 2 players, so there might be 1 other person trying to actually TWAR instead of letting those 2 fight it out. I would be therefore glad if some other participant of this mini-tourney could be a referee and I pretty much expect just sitting out until those 2 fight it out. If I am on, I will take care of it from position of wiz, but as you all know, I am not on whole day long. If you can arrange time of your fight, I might try to log on, but I need to know in advance. So... to the elimination system. I was expecting simple "pyramid-like" system where winner advances and fights winner of another pair -> requires 2^n players to be complete. As it is, here is the list of characters registered: Bathala Minacity Asherzot Habib Warcraft Doom Po Cola As you see, it is exactly 8 characters. If we dont get another players, that is the whole set and I will shuffle pairs later on. I wanted to play my chars, but it would make it 10 and we would need either 6 more chars or 6 free passes so I personally prefer sitting out to make it more fair/simple. As soon as the pairs are shuffled, I was expecting having 2 days for each round, but this could be adjusted based on requirements. I also unfortunately didnt get any feedback on prizes, so I was thinking of giving out 10M exp to the winner, 5M to 2nd and 2M to 3rd + some unique autoloading badges indicating participation in this tournament (maybe with some permanent bonus). Anyway, if nothing changes, later today pairs for the first round will appear here and we can start fighting it out.
