    Playtesters
    Note 1 of 23 · by Wildcat · 01-Apr-1996 8:08am
So you wanna be a playtester eh? As there has been a great demand of late for playtesters and to try to minimize the number of questions everyone seems to have about playtesters, I've decided to write up these few quick guidelines on how to go about being one. 1) DO NOT BUG INDIVIDUAL WIZARDS ABOUT IT!!! This can't be emphisized enough. Annoying wizards is not the way to get on their good side contrary to popular belief. When a wizard has need of a playtester they will contact you. 2) DO mail me (Wildcat incase the name scrolled by now) a brief history of your characters experience, particuarlly what character classes you have played in the past and what level you have aquired in them. Also any preference you would have as to what you'd like to playtest. 3) DO wait, awhile, a very long while. Until new classes are coded there isn't much of a need for playtesters now is there? Just a few notes now on who will be selected and what is to be expected of you. If you have never hit 19 before, do not expect to be a playtester unless you have something very valuable to contribute. When you playtest a class, you will begin at level 1, not at any reincarnation age. Though you can quit playtesting at any time, if you do so before 40 million exp (mid 19th level) it will very very much be frowned up, and may reduce your chance of being a playtester in the future. Playtesters are supposed to work closely with the wizards that have created the class, they are expected to point out not only bugs but expected problems, (Raising too slowly, too quickly, etc) If you feel that you are still interested in this mail me.
