Changes BoardArmour and shapeshifting updates Armour checks have been made more consistent, especially for shapeshifters
and characters with racial or equipment restrictions.
Shapeshifters: previously, equipment checks could disagree with what your
form allowed, blocking usable gear or showing misleading choices. Your
current form now decides which kinds of equipment you can wear, while your
race's limits and any bans on metal or magical armour still apply.
Vampires: worn armour was still adding protection in bat, beast and mist
forms, despite being described as melded into your body. It now provides
no armour protection while shifted. Its protection returns when you resume
humanoid form; your other defensive bonuses remain.
Mages, including Enchanters: metal armour could previously slip through
the checks. All Mage subclasses now follow the documented restriction to
non-metal armour.
Equipment displays and shop checks have also been brought into line with
these rules. Some existing equipment and characters may take time to pick
up the changes.
