Title : Non-humanoid change (Major)

Whelp guys,

Your friendly neighborhood admins have come out with
another mud-shattering change. Many have requested
portions, many have requested the status-quo, but the
fact of the matter we've discussed this and believe it
moves the game in a more fun and balanced direction.

This is a major change for all you non-humanoids out
there. While We've tried to keep the upside and downside
of these changes balanced, many will feel strongly that
it is a huge increase or decrease. Unfortunately for me,
the perception will probably be based upon whether you're
anon-humanoid or not, so let me get this out of the way:

If you're a non-humanoid, this a reduction to non-humanoids.
If you're a humanoid, this an increase to non-humanoids.

This is the way politics on Tsunami works, so I'll just toss
out the changes, my justifications and let the whining
fall where it may:

Part A - Hoards
- Anyone with a hoard may now withdraw up to 10% of the
cash they have ever hoarded.
- Once you withdraw that 10% you will not gain experience
for additional hoards until you 'pay back' the
amount you collected. Essentially, think of it as a
loan to yourself.

Part B - Active quickhealing
- The first round of healing will always heal 1 hp/sp.
- The amount of healing in subsequent healing rounds
will increase by 1 each time. (ie: 2/2, 3/3, ...)
- This increasing will continue until you reach a cap
based upon your quickheal skill.
- This cap is BIG.
- Quickealing works the same in wars as on the mud.

Part C - Monster heals
- non-humanoid heals now cost approximately 25% more.
- Ouch.

Part D - There is no part E (yet).

This is part of a major adjustment to both the balance
between non-humanoids/humanoids and an economic adjustment
to the mud.

While some of the effects of this change are obvious,
some are more subtle and will probably take a while to
equalize out. Some of the effects are probably unforseen
and will bring apocolyptic doom to the mud. Sorry.

There are a couple more stages to this project that will
probably be more focussed towards humanoids, but the end
results we are looking for are as follows:

A reduction in the differences between the ability of
humanoids and non-humanoids to:
- PK
- Gain cash
- Use cash
- Gain experience

An overall ability for players to raise characters without
spending their time money-running.
An overall ability for players with lots of cash to
gain experience faster or have other outlets for that
cash.

Please realize that there will be further major adjustments
that should complement this change in persuit of these
goals and we will try to release them in groups that are
fairly balance-neutral so that no one gets particularly
screwed.

I would appreciate any input as to the specific affects
of this change (and others) and as always, please be on
the lookout for bugs (both benign and malign) and report
them immediately.

Good luck and let the bitching commense! ;)
