When activated death's embrace will slowly destroy their body but heighten their connection to the realm of death. Essentially this pact exchanges a measure of hp for a measure of sp (reverse regen) with the number of hp consumed becoming larger and the number of sp gained from the exchange becoming more efficient as the skill level increases. Note 1: Despite its name the damage from deathpact cannot kill a player. Toggle it liberally at low levels and leave it on at high levels. ---------------------------------------------------------------------
