Player feedback about my change to a verbal instead of numeric description
of coins brought up the fact that my change made coins more or less
useless as a mapping tool. I was persuaded by this line of reasoning to
introduce an item made specifically for the purpose of mazemapping.

It is more expensive to obtain than a handful of coins, but it is also far
more useful. The new item is available in town, given you have a given
(but fairly low, to be frank) number of quest points.

I won't mention specifics of these costs or requirements here, as they're
subject to djustment.
