----------------------------------------------------------------------- Spell : Hoodwink Class : Pixie Cost : 15 / 20 (non-adjustable) Pollen Used : Snapdragon Casting Time : 0 Cooldown : 3 rounds Syntax : cast hoodwink (escape | [<target>]) Examples : cast hoodwink escape cast hoodwink (defaults to targeted option) cast hoodwink avalanche Subterfuge lies at the heart of the Mother's creation as embodied by the Pixie. That deceptive core may be instanteously tapped by the Pixie through the application of snapdragon pollen and this spell. When cast with the "escape" option (15 SPs), the Pixie will attempt to furtively exit the area -- evading obstacles if possible. When used against a specific target (20 SPs) -- or in combat without the "escape" option -- this spell will temporarily becloud the mind of the target (or the foe in combat). The Pixie then has a chance to dodge a certain number of the hoodwinked opponent's combat strikes as the mental fog misdirects their thrust. For each of these strikes, the Pixie will execute a riposte strike of their own (regardless of whether the opponent's strike is successfully dodged or not). NOTE: Dodged strikes are still counted as hits for the purposes of calculating the synergy bonuses of the acclimate spell. This is mentioned because snapdragon and bluebell synergize with one another, and it is therefore plausible that both hoodwink and acclimate would be in use at the same time.
