It will summon magical energies of a certain type and use them against the target of the spell. The chance of success of the spell can be changed by supplying a modifier. 'cast blast +50 mailman' will have a higher chance of success and damage than without a modifier, but will cost 50 more sp to cast than normal. Similarly, 'cast blast -10 mailman' will have a lower chance, but cost 10 less sp to cast than normal. If the caster is already in combat, there is no need to supply a target. The other combatant will always be the default target. Thus, 'cast blast acid', while in combat with an orc, will automatically blast the orc you are in combat with, with acid. Wu-Jen have the ability to modify the type of damage the blast will do. They can supply 'poison', 'cold', 'fire', 'lightning' and 'acid' for the damage type. This will inflict that type of damage and will inflict extra damage on opponents susceptible to this type of damage. This makes blast very dangerous. If a Wu-Jen casts blast without a specified type of damage, it will default to their chosen default damage type. To choose a damage type, type 'cast blast set <type>'. Supply one of the above damage types for <type>. If you never set the default, it will automatically be fire. Blast gain a bonus equal to Wu-jens spirit sphere level times three.
